I have to echo some of the original post's problems. I have Fritz5, Genius Gold, Hiarc6 and MCP7. I found hiarcs to be hardest to install, even following the manual, I had to finally install from the dos shell (i don't know how I got it to work). Because of the copy protection scheme and the inability to install the program again without de-installing it, I have not used Hiarcs more than twice in 6 months. It's just too much of a pain. As a chess player, I want a simple way to run these programs without wasting my brain cells figuring it out. Altho' I have an engineering/math etc background, I don't want to think too much on this installation problems. Got to reserve some of my brain to beat these monsters :) Hiarcs is a nice program. But due to above mentioned problems, it is in my unused category. Furthermore, if my computer goes bust, I will not be able to install the program again. I hope Mark (and other prgrammers) will solve this problem, as it doesn't make sense to waste money buying twice when I can purchase something else. Like chess books for example, an excellent value :)
