I really don't know what a *.dll file does [except vaguely] and don't understand at all why the size of a chess-playing program's *.dll file would be significant. I am hopeful that you, or somebody, will shed some light on this. Who knows? Maybe after reading the answer I might, as a result, become so excited about chess programming that I might launch into a lifetime pursuit of the "Holy Grail" chess engine which whips all opposition! : ) Bob D.
