try hypermodern+aggressiv ON.

that is why i don't believe in those numbers.
i have computers too at my home, 2 x 1200 and a few others.
and i do play 40/40 and 40/120 normally.

and with my notebook i play on the server. but my notebook is not fast.
i do normally use hiarcs9 with aggr.+hypermodern ON and it plays very active and
interesting games.

don't you think that a 450 Mhz PIII is a little SLOW ??
my old amd's 400 are even faster than this PIII.

5 minutes blitz on a 450 mhz machine ????

IMO you don't measure the strength of the programs but something different.

5 minutes blitz on a 400mhz machine is IMO a joke.
if you would have used this 1998, it would have been ok , i would have
complained because of the blitz. but today ???

nothing against you or your hardware.
i have 2 400 mhz machines too. but i would not use them for blitz.
i would use them for 40/120 and consider the results as blitz results on todays
hardware.
