I also have the Fritz 8/Shredder 7 GUI, and may want to continue using it. Why?
Well I know it is working OK, and I hate to have to debug a new GUI!

So I hope to install Shredder 8 (when it arrives) in a separate folder, then
copy the engines into the above Fritz 8/Shredder 7 GUI installation. The
question is - will that work?

It might be that the Shredder 8 engines will only work in the Shredder 8 GUI. If
so, that might explain your problem. Does anybody know?
