Subject: beat Fritz 8 on a P4 ?

If you can beat Fritz 8 on a Pentium 4 at 40/2, 20/1, SD/30 you can safely quit
playing competitive chess and start playing for leisure and enjoyment.
Strangely though I never beat Hiarcs 8 or ChessTiger 15 but for a while they
couldn't beat me either; so I stopped playing competitive chess and started
playing for sake of the game not really keeping score. My philosophy might come
off as being a lifer but it easy on the high spirits that we chessplayers bring
to an OTB chess tournament. Anderson an original grandmaster of chess in the
1800's played for artistic purposes maybe if we all took up his creative banner.
Some of the Black defenses in the openings look like artistry -- Caro-Kann,
Petroff's, French, and others. This is why I enjoy playing chess -- for the
beauty of the game as well as the sporting part too. Oh well not to talk you
