Opterons sind sehr interressant, in der Tat. Allerdings benötigen die Kisten eine sehr gute Kühlung und sind extrem laut. Hoffe das wird sich etwas bessern damit die Systeme auch privat einzusetzen sind. Selbst die Orginal Intel Xeon Kühler sind zu laut. Musste mir schon Brücken daziwischen löten damit die Umdrehungen von 5800 auf 4200 heruntergehen und um die Lautstärke zu drosseln. Bei den Opterons beobachte ich mal die weitere Entwicklung und werde dann sicherlich auch privat mal zuschlagen. Übrigens ist derzeit noch alles verhältnismäßig teuer und gerade wegen den Opterons bin ich auf die Antworten von Intel gespannt. Kann uns allen ja nur Recht sein ... schließlich sollte es ja auch mit der Hardwareentwicklung voran gehen! Gruß Frank
