I also tried renaming the Shredder8.exe file, but no luck. Apparently the closest possible is to make a slight change in a parameter such as king safety=101. My computer is busy with other tasks, so I haven't tried it yet, but... Maybe it would work to edit the resulting .uci file in the engines folder. It contains the parameters as [options], so maybe they can be changed back to the defaults (or whatever desired)........?? WP
