hi Bob here is some real Nostalgia for you i remember bringing home the first dedicated chess computer from the store it was early 1978 and we were having a pretty good winter storm i shelled out nearly $300 for it in todays dollars this is about $500 today it was the Fidelity Chess Challenger i remember how excited i was to actually be able to play chess against an opponent at any time of the day or night of course reality soon set in when i realized the computer could basicaly just make legal moves,would not castle and played a generally weak game (600-700 ELO) I still have that first chess computer and it still works just fine who knows..perhaps one day soon i will be able to beat it :)) 1978 regards Steve > >Bob D.
