Note that I now tried some change in the program to make it see the draw
and it really helped it to get score of almost 0.00 after search.
I told it that KB vs KP is a draw by the following code.
if (numpieces==4)
{
...
if (valuepieces==3)
{
evalply[ply]=0;
simpleeval[ply]=0;
}
}
Unfortunately some small score that is dependnent in the path tells it that it
is 0.03 pawns against white and I also do not like that code because I am afraid
that it may cause movei not to prefer losing KB vs KPP and not drawing KB vs
KP.
Evaluation is about knowing which position is better and not only about correct
evaluation.
telling the program that bishop cannot win in KB vs KP is easy but it is not
clear to me if it is productive (I am not thinking about speed of the program
but about moves) and this is the reason that I prefered to have that knowledge
out of the code.
I plan to implement that knowledge in a better way in the future.
