Make sure you are using the latest winboard adapter. To see the version select Help -> About - Version Info - EngineExt.dll , the latest is version 5.0.0.29 This version is included in ChessPartner 5.3a and was also included in Rebel 12.00.01 and in the Deep Sjeng 1.5a update.
