Why ? >BTW I've been looking at data, mine and others, and S8 is stronger than H9. :-))) of course. if you let hiarcs9 run in default. >I think H9 is one of the best engines, and I have no complaints, but S8 is >stronger, and it makes no difference to me what you think. exactly. now you understand me. >However, you're wrong about Sarah and her work, you owe her an apology. 3' blitz games, even on today hardware makes no sense. the programs play very louse when they come into time trouble. all the 20-30 moves or more they played before are irrelevant in the last 1 minute of the blitz game. they give away pawns, pieces, mates, draws and and and. if this is the chess you like, chess more like a game where you can have luck and you win, than use these time controls. i prefer time controls where the programs have a certain search depth an the blunder moves reduce to a certain degree that the data is worth watching. but you can prefer your data of course. if you like those games where the last blunder is a function of the few seconds computation ?
