Go up one level in this thread

Rebel10 even exits from my 200MhZ MMX, 32m ram machine from time to time, for no
discernable reason, but less often then Rebel9 did, so Ed Shroeder's company is
getting closer to a default set of perimiter's for the program, that makes it
less susceptible to this then previous versions on the various computer
platforms in existance.

In June or July of 1999, there will be a 1st Windows (beta), version available
to current owners of Rebel, so these problems should completely be a thing of
the past after that point. (OK, so there will be new things to complain about:)

With your platform, I see these options;

1. Search the Rebel page (I think they are on the CD Rom too), for the
appropriate windows pif shortcuts for Rebel, based on your hardware. That might
work, It din't for me when I was using Rebel9.

2. Just say no to Rebel10 until you get a faster computer! After all, Rebel10
really is designed for fast pentium machine with lots of ram. Recommend you
download (or buy from Gambit-Soft for $5 bucks), the Rebel Decade program, which
does not have these problems, and is still lots of fun to play with.

3. Buy (or download free-ware), a windows program, like you mentioned in your
other post - My philosophy is, you can't own too many chess programs!
