An EGT service, using all the good standards like XML, XSTL and SOAP, would be
an interesting 'demonstrator' and project.

I think, ultimately, this is the way things will have to go.

Space can be reduced by:

a) going to DTZ EGTs rather than DTM ones (increasingly beneficial)
the smaller depth-ranges make the files more compressible
we already see that the DTZ EGTs are half the size of the 3-5-man DTMs

b) with some loss of information, i.e. a recipe for winning ...
reduce 'depth EGTs' to win/draw/loss EGTs
Vincent talks of these but gives no figures for compressed files yet
I used to have these files for 3-to-5-man EGTs but not now.

Some 7-man EGTs are within reach - obviously KQQQQQK - but they aren't the most
interesting ones.
