Just to answer your first question:

There are 365 theoretically posible 6-piece tablebases. These are made up of

1. 70 Kxxxx-K
2. 175 Kxxx-Kx
3. 120 Kxx-Kxx

Dividing these groups into the tablebases with and without pawns:

1a. 35 Kxxxx-K without pawns
1b. 35 Kxxxx-K with pawns
2a. 80 Kxxx-Kx without pawns
2b. 95 Kxxx-Kx with pawns
3a. 55 Kxx-Kxx without pawns
3b. 65 Kxx-Kxx with pawns

None of the tablebases in the first group are available, with or without pawns.
Because of their relative unimportance they are the bottom priority, and I doubt
they will be generated until the other two groups are complete.

Groups 2a and 3a are complete.

35 of the tablebases in group 2b are available.

None of the tablebases in group 3b are available.

I'm posting my unofficial checklist of the EGTBs in group 2b. I've heard rumours
that Eugene has already generated a batch of new EGTBs that he hasn't sent to
Bob yet, so the list could be out of date fast. I hope so!
