I think so, IOW I don't see why any part of the software should intend to change
that. In my test tournament with 17 games, only D79 Fianchetto Grünfeld appeared
twice, the rest were all different ECOs. Kurt has played a quick test tournament
with 100 games to check the book quality, but I don't know the opening
statistics. But I think he would have mentioned it when a specific opening would
have been played extremely often.

I just saw his download for the interruptet tournament with Shredder 7.04 is
quite small, so I checked it for opening variety: From 54 games in the download,
there were 21 1.d4, 13 1.e4 (only 5 1.e5 c5), 9 1.Nf3, etc.

It looks ok :-)
