I'm somewhat concerned about the Score being <50%. It's known from (older) comp-comp tournments played without any opening support though, that the advantage of the first move tends to vanish in then. I don't know if this still is the case with most recent engines and faster comps. Anyway I'd be surprised if this would be the case after 5 bookmoves too. This seems to be an interesting point to me. Maybe the number of games is (still) to small for a conclusion. But there seems to be a problem with 1.Nf3 28.9% (only) definetely. I'm afraid my book is responsible, maybe leading to a position difficult for white (?). The variant with the highest probability after 1.Nf3 is in 5moves.ctg: 1. Nf3 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. d4 d5 4. Nc3 c6 5. e3 Bd6 (or 5... Nbd7) D45 Semi-Slav, leading to these positions: [D]rnbqk2r/pp3ppp/2pbpn2/3p4/2PP4/2N1PN2/PP3PPP/R1BQKB1R w KQkq - 0 6 [D]r1bqkb1r/pp1n1ppp/2p1pn2/3p4/2PP4/2N1PN2/PP3PPP/R1BQKB1R w KQkq - 0 6 I notice nothing special here. Looks "very normal" to me. I guess, if there's a problem for the engines having white here, it must arise later. mfg. Michael
