About the Winboard-compatibility of Gromit: @!X&?$%#+ Grrrrrrr. Gromit seems to be ok and my code was ok as well on principle. The Windows-documentation said something about different behaviour of MS-DOS programs that I ignored, because the whole thing has nothing to do with MS-DOS. Obviously this assumption was wrong. A Win32-console-program seems to behave like an MS-DOS-program. However, now it is working. > >-- >Komputer Korner Gromit is now on the list of engines that have been tested with the Fritz32 WinBoard-interface (note that you have to give the --xboardquiet option in Fritzs' init-file). See http://home.t-online.de/home/hobblefrank for information about Gromit and http://www.chessbase.com for information about Fritz and the interface. Frank
