Hi Mimic,

Thank you for your post, I have recently played a short match
between Shredder 8 and Deep fritz 8 and had a slightly different result.
Of course all were within the statistical margins of error.

Learning off
5 move.ctg = setting "normal"

Shredder won the last game to go into the lead.... a nail biter.

S8 vs DF8 5movectg, Blitz:5' 0

2 Deep Fritz 8 ½1½01001½11½½½0½10½½½100½10100 14.5/30

This more or less agrees with my first match with S8 set to Aggressive,
played with 2700draw.ctg.

Shredder 8 Agg vs Deep Fritz 8
                   123456789012345678901234567890
1 Shredder 8 ½101111½010½110001½101½000½1½½ 16.0/30
2 Deep Fritz 8 ½010000½101½001110½010½111½0½½ 14.0/30

Aggressive vs Default seems fairly equal based on these findings, at least vs
Deep Fritz 8 on my machine.

Due to the closeness of strength of all the top engines it is
truly hard to determine which is strongest.

Thanks for your hard work,
Paul
