Hi Mimic,
Thank you for your post, I have recently played a short match
between Shredder 8 and Deep fritz 8 and had a slightly different result.
Of course all were within the statistical margins of error.
542 mhz,128MB Ram,Chessbase Gui,
16MB Hash,3,4,5 man tablebases
Learning off
5 move.ctg = setting "normal"
Shredder won the last game to go into the lead.... a nail biter.
S8 vs DF8 5movectg, Blitz:5' 0

This more or less agrees with my first match with S8 set to Aggressive,
played with 2700draw.ctg.

Aggressive vs Default seems fairly equal based on these findings, at least vs
Deep Fritz 8 on my machine.

Due to the closeness of strength of all the top engines it is
truly hard to determine which is strongest.
