I found this result of the each 80 games/machine. We see a fine result. The Deep machines above, normal Fritz 8...8 below. But seriously could we make any conclusions at all out of these results? I mean signidicant conclusions? In respect of being better, at least for the tournament here? I don't think so. I doubt that the results differ significantly of the expected distribution by chance. 40 points would be 50% expectance between equally strong machines. 37 isn't very far from there. Also look how the forth incoming Fritz 8 beats Hiarcs! So - even at first glance we would assume almost equality. This is exactly what we would expect from a new generation of machines. Nothing new. However if you now go into SSDF and let the new ones play against older models, you get interesting differenceds in the results. But without significance for the real differences between the modern machines. This is all trivial and I just wanted to remind you. Rolf
