Hi Andrew, > I'm afraid I can't remember which ZIPPYPASSWORD does what. One of them causes > Winboard to send the string following the password to ICC (as if the program > sent it). The other causes Winboard to send the string following the > password to the chess program. ZIPPYPASSWORD is used to send something directly to ICC... to take a look if the machine is still alive where Quark is running I usually do something like: tell QuarkX <mypassword> tell Pommi I am alive ! ZIPPYPASSWORD2 is used to send something to the engine... e.g. when the engine does not kibitz I can send a name to it that it is in it's friendlist, e.g.: tell QuarkX <mysecondpassword> name Hossa then Quark will switch from whisper mode to kibitz mode... also I have a command that Quark sends me it's analysis lines to any account I want, this can be done with: tell QuarkX <mysecondpassword> showlines Pommi I can even use that to send them to a special channel or whatever I want... Greets, Thomas
