Although the TB's have improved this, for a handheld, this is not an option, (yet!) It's easy for the programmer to add a basic strong opening book, and the programs do well in the tactics that ensue in the typical middle game, but then there is that stumbling block of the end game. Congratulations on staying alive in the game long enough to see that weakness. :) C.T.'s end game knowledge is certainly better than most chess programs without the TB's. Dave
