I don't think there is any comparison. 9.95 Chess is a very old and weak version
of GnuChess with a poor GUI.

I even believe that these guys are breaking the GPL license by selling it.
GnuChess is free software, and any related work should also be made available
for free. I think it is illegal to ask money for free software.
