Subject: Question about pawn endgame

Can somebody please tell me if the move a6
is really better than axb6 in this position:

[D]8/8/1p1K4/Pp6/2k1p3/8/1P6/8 w - - bm a6; id MES.0035;

My program plays axb6 instead of the 'best move' a6.
As far as I can see, the game is a draw in both cases.
If a6 is better, please show me why.
