I can add that the problem is lack of knowledge movei has a small score for supporting the pawn but the score for centralizing the king is bigger. Movei was slosest to mate in the following position [D]8/1K2k3/1P6/8/8/8/1R6/r7 w - - 0 144 I need to reduce the score for centralizing the king when all pawns are on one side of the board including the specific case when there is only one pawn. I also was afraid when movei that has no bad trade code sacrificed a rook for bishop passed pawn and some initiative but fortunately the sacrifice was correct or Junior blundered later and I need to anlayze it to know. I was surprised by Junior's less of knowledge when it evaluated losing position as only a very small advantage for movei. Knowledge about these endgames is important even without tablebases because it is possible to get them as leaf position when it is impossible to look at tablebases without significant slow down. It seems that Junior does not care to have the king near the files of the only pawn when movei has knowledge about it but also knowledge about centralizing the king that was counter productive. Uri
