Most don't...  some do... IE I grew up around Crays and they've always done
this sort of stuff.  Older machines used to have cute bit-twiddling stuff
like find first 1 bit (used to be called a circular searching shift).  I have
"heard" that "merced" will have this sort of stuff, but it's only a rumor so
far...
