I have had a look to this.

Comet had planned 31. ... gxh4, 32. Rc4  with 33. Rxa4, creating its own
non-doubled passer, and later play Rh4 to care for movei's passer. However later
(when searching 32. move), it had to realize that there is no time to re-capture
on a4 because the black king will eventually approach to g5. ... pawn f5 will
follow and the rook will have to leave h4, making it impossible to stop black's
passer.

When playing 31. h4, the search hadn't been deep enough to recognize 33. Rxa4 is
impossible.
