As a user somewhat removed from the details of engine operation, I wonder whether or not engines typically do "come up with a plan" and/or "come up with something to do." Could it be that engines typically "just fall into" suitable plans, or do the programmers deserve full credit for making engines programmed to "seek out" such "plans" or "things to do"? Bob D.
