This is real perverted chess, and the notion is to try and discover new openings that have never been seen before. The time control would be 12 minutes per move, and you would be *given* the starting position which you might inherit as a horrible one (you get 1. f3 against the best possible defense known against that awful opening). At long time controls, by some random fluke, something really interesting might be discovered. But it would take 400 *pairs* of computers. It would be rather tough to drum up that much interest.
