Subject: Upgrading Programs to the Next Version (Shredder 8 from S7 & S6)

What is the proper procedure?  Are any files needed from a previous version such
as the .plr files.  Are old opening books (.ctg) that are personally made useful
or is this open to testing and speculation?

Are old position learning files useful to the new version?  Can they be
transported to the corresponding location for the new version?  Is it
beneficial?

Should an older version be uninstalled beforehand?  What do you who are more
experienced do when you upgrade to a new version?
