Hello Steve,

this is the changelog, it should give you a pretty good idea.
It also includes the updates from Deep Sjeng 1.5a, notably
the fixed book learner. So it's mostly depending on how you
use/test the engine that there may be a very small or a very
large improvement.

Deep Sjeng 1.6 update - Feb 2004

Bugs corrected.

- Bugfix to to tournament time control in WinBoard
- Bugfixes to Linux and Mac OS X versions
- Don't try to use all CPUs on startup (Pentium 4 HT fix)
- Some documentation corrections

Enhancements.

- Updated to newest tablebase access code (less RAM used)
- Some small improvements to very late endgame
- Some speedups (+- 5%)

- FreeBSD version of the engine included. This
  is unsupported.
