I don't have an answer for you -- your nps test seems about right for a 2.4 Ghz
... a book can have a lot of impact and favor certain programs over others - I
would suggest using the HIARCS tournament book with Crafty -- that book is very
solid as well as the Shredder 7 book. ( Iwould guess Shredder 8 , but I have
puchased Shredder 8 ..yet.)

Since no computers are exactly the same, "your milage may vary" is very appropo.
I use my own book from 3 years ago and it seems fine -- I never touch it.
