Here are some of my results with the brothers??!!

Shredder 704 vs 8 5move.ctg :5' 0

1 Shredder 8 1011½1½½0½½½½½½0½½½01111½½½½½½ 17.0/30
2 Shredder 7.04 0100½0½½1½½½½½½1½½½10000½½½½½½ 13.0/30

This was a blitz match, 5 minute matches with 5 move.ctg as
book.
I have played 100's of these against various engines...and
Shredder 8 won them all. The closest match was with Chess tiger 15
2 matches 60 games dead even. Additionally, it seems that all top engines
are so close it is getting increasingly difficult to say one is clearly better.
My hardware is also old ...either a 450 P3 or 542 celeron....to use
one of Mike Byrnes quotes...forgive me...Your mileage may vary.
It is a very powerful engine...Shredder 8...please see Kurt Uzinger's
site for a large tournament where Shredder 8 is winning.I also believe
Chessfun is currently testing Shredder 8 and is pleased with its results.
So, If you are like me buy it!! We cannot get enough of this stuff!!!

Regards,
Paul
