Hi Baldo!
	Nice to hear from you. I think we choose the hardware that is available to us
and our budget.
	For example, I do not use PC's because they are not available to me. I miss
many interesting programs, but I can not help it now.
	Now for your questions. Any machine that can run the programs is enough. There
are some calculations that estimate the rating improvement given more time (or
more proccesor speed, which is the same). I do not rely them, because it is
simply very different from one program to another. But sure the quality of play
improves.
