Claude Shannon, who originally proposed how a computer could play chess,
described what is called a "mailbox" board representation. (Philosophical
Magazine, 1950)

The key feature was simply that every square on the board could be represented
in the computer's memory at a distinct address, and accessed as needed as play
continued.

Funny, I've never heard of a "move list" for various pieces being any part of a
"mailbox" board representation.

Is this used in your program, Warlord?
