We can now assume that Chessbase has no intention of fixing >these bugs, and we'll have to wait for Junior 9 :( P.S. I make a difference between errors in evaluation and failure to follow the rules of chess. If an engine is unable to find the obvious best move in a position, I call it a "weakness", and it's up to Chessbase's discretion whether they want to correct it or not. Evaluation functions are complex things... by making sure the evaluation is better in one particular situation, the overall performance of the engine might suffer. On the other hand, if an engine suggests moves that are illegal, ie moves that aren't allowed in the standard rules of chess, it's a "bug". No arguing about it. It should be fixed straight away, and if it can't be fixed the product should be withdrawn from the market.
