I also run some old DOS chess programs, but I do have a problem with the right aspect ratio for the video on most of the old DOS programs. (it gets stretched out vertically so you can't see the whole board anymore, only the top half). Fritz & CM9k have good video, of course. If you haven't done so already, uninstall CM from control panel, completely. Then reboot and install it fresh. If that doesn't help, go on-line to your video card maker's website and see if you can d/l a better video driver. I have ATI video cards, that won't power up a NASCAR racer, pretty run of the mill. The one I'm on now is an M4 mobility by ATI. Good luck, but don't feel badly if you just HAVE to update your program. :) (Honey, I HAD to update it, the old one just wouldn't work any more!) The 1.02 patch for CM9000 is buggy so avoid it, but the 1.01 is OK, according to John Merlino, our (ex-CM) guru. David David
