With exception of nolot #11, the positions are heavily king safety dominated, that means that a king safety favouring that position will find it soon. We know from logfiles deep blue II that it for its time was very aggressive there. Idem dito nimzo98 when it was released in 1998. Nowadays many are agressive, even crafty is pretty agressive tuned. Also positions like Nxe6, diep finds those real quick (10 ply or so if not less for current version). Singular extensions help diep of course here in several positions. The Rxc5 move (nolot #2) was for old diep versions 7-9 ply when it had mating extensions. That happened pretty quick at old hardware. Nowadays i don't have mating extensions at all, so it takes let me see :) ... ...Ah i must turn on mating extensions to find this very quick :) The real problem is that positions that are about mate are simply not so very interesting. Yet 99% of all positions tried by the average person is something that has to do with mate. >Hi > >Shredder8 needs quite some time to find Nxh6 but the score is convincing.
