The Opteron should be the same as the Athlon FX. The multiplier should be
unlocked for you to change. If your motherboard does not support this your only
hope at cpu overclocking would be from increasing the front side bus speed.

About your registered memory.. it can be overclocked. If you're not too sure on
how to do it I would recommend not trying it until you can learn more about
something like this. One page you may try is www.overclockers.com. There are a
few others but they're corrupt beyond belief. If you'd like you can ask me
whatever questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them. If I can I'll
