Hi, i'm working at the moment on the next x-/winboard version (4.2.8). So, i was look in the protocol part. And now its clear, winboard using wb2 with Rebel because if wb send "protover 2" and we become a answer, it does not play a role which answer, we use wb2. Rebel don't send any "feature" lines to handle out the basics feature of Rebel and thats not correct. I would welcome that Rebel do that. This should be easy Ed ;) It's much more luck that Rebel 12 run with winboard at the moment and of course there is no warranty for the next versions of winboard. But okay, the Lokasoft boys wrote that they only give a warranty for ChessPartner and winboard protocol. My questions is if the feature to see current moves, left move and move name are interesting for winboard users ? Second question: I updated to 12.01 (thanks for the help). But rebel12_cb.exe is still 12.00. Is that right ? Daniel
