I have a PII-333mhz/160Meg ram and a K6-2-350mhz/256Meg ram. Most programs run faster on the K6-2. Chessmaster 6000 doesn't seem to care. I find Rebel 10 eats about 10 meg hash/minute and Fritz about 3 times that amount. At 40/90 I have seen almost every program I have search for as high as 12-15 minutes on one move but this is unusual(Once/5 games). I think the Pentium 200 mhz is only about 40-60 points weaker than mine for most programs. So, I would just go with your budget. Jim Walker
