Concerning hash tables:
Run notepad editor.
Goto the cm6000 directory.
Using notepad open the file called cm.ini
Under [engine] look for a line that says ttable_size=xx (xx = some default
number when you installed CM6000).
If you change the xx to 25 so that the line reads ttable_size=25
CM6000 will have a hash table of 32 meg. If you type 24 instead, you
will have a hash table of 16 meg. (i.e. raise 2 to the power of 25
to get the 32 meg number). Also note setting the hash table to 32 meg
is the largest you would want with 64 meg of ram. You will also note that
when CM6000 get out of book the disk light will come on and the computer
will spend 30 seconds or more freeing up the the required ram by storing to
disk. This disk action will only occur one time and then CM6000 will behave
normally for the rest of the time that you are your using the program.
Enjoy!!
