Subject: Nolot #3 - once again!

after 70 hours of analysis in multivariation-mode (MV=2) on my Athlon 1500 MHz
with 128 MB Hash, Shrdder 8 prefers Nxg5 over Bxg5. Here are the evaluations and
Variations for the two best moves after depth 24:

New game
r2qk2r/ppp1b1pp/2n1p3/3pP1n1/3P2b1/2PB1NN1/PP4PP/R1BQK2R w KQkq - 0 1

Analysis by Shredder 8:

1. ± (0.95): 1.Nf3xg5 Bg4xd1 2.Ng5xe6 Qd8-b8 3.Ne6xg7+ Ke8-d8 4.Ke1xd1 b7-b5
5.Ng7-e6+ Kd8-d7 6.Ne6-f4 b5-b4 7.e5-e6+ Kd7-c8 8.Bd3-a6+ Kc8-d8 9.Nf4xd5 Rh8-f8
10.Rh1-e1 Be7-h4 11.Re1-e4 Bh4xg3 12.Bc1-g5+
2. ² (0.66): 1.Bc1xg5 Be7xg5 2.0-0 Qd8-e7 3.Qd1-e1 0-0 4.Nf3xg5 Qe7xg5 5.Rf1xf8+
Ra8xf8 6.Qe1-c1 Qg5xc1+ 7.Ra1xc1 Nc6-e7 8.h2-h3 Bg4xh3 9.g2xh3 Rf8-f3 10.Rc1-f1
Rf3xg3+ 11.Kg1-h1 Rg3xd3 12.Kh1-h2

The score +0.95 is not winning at all, but if you look after the position after
1.Nf3xg5 Bg4xd1 2.Ng5xe6 Qd8-b8 3.Ne6xg7+ Ke8-d8 4.Ke1xd1 (other variations
losse immediately for black) the evaluation of most programs declines slowly but
steadily so that white probably can convert its advantage in to a win (well I
believe so).

I believe once again Vincent is right also he lacks the social skill to explain
his thought properly.

regards joachim

P.S.: I believe Junior 8 will favor Nxg5 already after a few hours of analysis.
