Thanks but they should have used a dual Opteron for this Match :-)

Already to 13. time in Paderborn the international computer chess championships
are delivered. Altogether 16 participants apply for the title, under it the
winners of the last years Shredder and Fritz, those again on the proven transtec
dual chess workstation begin with two 3.06 Ghz each Xeon processors. Also with
it also the Chrillinger/Paderborn project is Hydra (in former times: Brutus).
The tournament begins tomorrow afternoon and lasts until Sunday.

Fritz and Shredder run in Paderborn on an identically constructed Transtec
diagram workstation with two Intel each Xeon processors with 3,06 Ghz and 2
gigabyte memory. Deep Fritz will also count over 1 gigabyte Hashtabellen and
with 2 to 2.3 million position/second for instance a search depth on 14 to 16
sections will reach, in the final game by means of 20 sections, strongly
dependent on position and material. Subscription winner Shredder had to leave in
the last year the tournament victory Fritz, to that thus this time as a title
defender start. Matthias protects all portions of the tournament live in the
Fritz server is transferred. The tournament lasts it until Sunday, seven rounds
is played. Supervisor and tournament leader are Ulf Lorenz of the University of
Paderborn, in addition CO developer of Hydra (in former times Brutus).
