That's right. Peculiar enough, TheBaron had expected Rxd4 as well.

Richard and me had been already wondering while playing why Bxd4 wasn't played,
not even expected. An observer of the game had suggested it.

Later I tried this more natural looking move (Bxd4). It seems that the game
could perhaps have been saved playing this move instead, but it took a bit of
search to realize it.
