The goal was to get less independent of Micros~1. The study should be finished by the end of the year - but that was last year... Whenever I hear about these things I'm sceptic. Afterall it could very well just be a strategy to get better conditions from M$ next time. And then there's always lobbyism, which plays a major role. Actions are what counts here, not words. Sargon
