Actually what I said was that I had run on an 8-way opteron and saw NPS numbers
reach 20M, and that a machine 4x faster is doable today.  I used the number 40%
as fast as DB, in terms of raw NPS.

I don't think there is going to be any "man machine challenge".  IE Chessbase
will probably sponsor their programs every now and then, but nobody is going to
have a truly open competition to pick a competitor for a match where it is going
to require a million dollars to entice the GM to play...

I think everyone here knows the answer to the last question.  I don't accept
draws easily.  :)

And yes, man vs machine is the main thing that interests me, but realistically
it isn't going to happen with Crafty unless something strange happens...
