No, the reason he didn't show up is that he is a chicken.

After all, that is the reason he keeps saying I don't make it to a WCCC/WMCCC
event. Not the problem with the cost and time.

So why do I buy _his_ excuse???

Damn, that never occurred to me. I mean, when I said that I can't take off two
weeks to attend an event in Europe, you (and others) assume it is because I
don't think I have a chance of winning.

Yet this event was on a weekend, required no travel, no expense, etc.

So when I can't come it is because I don't think I can win. When you can't
come, your reason is "good enough"???

The logic escapes me...

I didn't make the statement. I will make the statement that Hydra won't "crush"
crafty. Given an 8-way opteron I am not even sure it would win a long match
against Crafty, in fact...

That shows a _weakness_ of Paderborn, not a strength. Why should the operator
have any influence at all in a "computer chess tournament"???

I generally don't start 'em...
