Subject: Under 2600 Club

For us amateur chess programmers, I thought it might be a
fun idea to have a bit of organized competition, other than
tournaments. To that end, I propose the formation of the
"Under 2600 Club," <:) which would recognize the achievement
and standing of its members as determined by ICC blitz
rating.

This club is fairly unique, since the main goal of its
members is to escape. Should that happen, all due
recognition and reward will be bestowed, whatever that might
be.

And so, I nominate myself as permanent chairman ;) and stat-
keeper. I might mention at the outset that I chose ICC as
the forum for this simply because there's more activity
there. FICS has better stat functions and features, but
that's life. Kind of like the MacOS vs Windows.

If there's actually interest in this, I'll put together a
program to automate the stat list, and post it each week or
so. If anyone doesn't want to be on it, let me know. I'm
sure I've forgotten some programs, so let me know about that
too.
