My still weak engine Elephant says:

Not better but additional. The Table should contain some extra columns:
- A standard material value (Q=9, R=5, B=N=3, P=1) for quick orientation.
The interesting part of an evaluation function is the positional term.
- The evaluation after a good analysis to see which tendency is right.
- The average evaluation score from all engines.
- The positions should be quiet.
- I prefer the evaluation always from white's point of view.

The real output of my engine was similar to this:
(name, side, material, evaluation, score after a few seconds)
(+ means good for white, - means good for black)
"KS-00001" b 100 Eval = -388 -208
