The Table should contain some extra columns: - A standard material value (Q=9, R=5, B=N=3, P=1) for quick orientation. The interesting part of an evaluation function is the positional term. - The evaluation after a good analysis to see which tendency is right. - The average evaluation score from all engines. - The positions should be quiet. - I prefer the evaluation always from white's point of view. The real output of my engine was similar to this: (name, side, material, evaluation, score after a few seconds) (+ means good for white, - means good for black) "KS-00001" b 100 Eval = -388 -208 "KS-00002" b -430 Eval = 220 192 "KS-00003" b -320 Eval = 169 -300 "KS-00004" w -320 Eval = -238 -20 "KS-00005" b -400 Eval = 344 203 "KS-00006" w -750 Eval = -716 15995 "KS-00007" w -100 Eval = -141 42 "KS-00008" b -180 Eval = 84 -15996 "KS-00009" b -230 Eval = 145 -15990 "KS-00010" w -730 Eval = -519 15995 "KS-00011" b 240 Eval = -47 15995 "KS-00012" w -320 Eval = -189 368 "KS-00013" w -720 Eval = -658 15997 "KS-00014" b 120 Eval = -58 73 "KS-00015" w 570 Eval = 588 466 "PP-00001" b -20 Eval = -88 -81 "PP-00002" w 230 Eval = 169 -120 "PP-00003" w 230 Eval = 173 -68 "PP-00004" b 0 Eval = 92 -560 "PP-00005" b -230 Eval = 115 -480 "PP-00006" w 0 Eval = -87 50 "PP-00007" w -330 Eval = -304 86 "IM-00001" w 50 Eval = 36 -20 "IM-00002" w 100 Eval = 133 134 "IM-00003" w 100 Eval = 188 180 "IM-00004" w -30 Eval = 42 23 "EG-00001" w 0 Eval = 16 -170 "EG-00001" b 430 Eval = -414 -460 Harald
