I see that the demage is bigger than what I thought by your descreption.

If clearing the hash is done after pondering then Ruffian lose more time.

Movei is clearing the hash after every move but it does not prevent it to play
immediatly after pondering the right move because clearing the hash is done only
in the beginning of the search and when the opponent plays the expected move it
does not start a new search.
